I walked into a cube of a friend today who knows nothing of the discussions I had with Leo mentioned in the 7/31 post. When he saw me he said "Jayson, how is solving the worlds problems going?"
I could not help but smile.
Tomorrow is 8/8/8...how fun. I cannot help but wonder what the Universe has in store for me on that seemingly auspicious day.
On a different note, my car would not start this morning. I spent thirty minutes cleaning the leads and poles on the battery to no avail. I finally had to jump my car with my wife's vehicle. It turned over fine and after running for a few minutes it came back to life when I shut it off and back on. I decided to drive into work this morning instead of taking the bus.
When I came out after work, my battery was dead. I got a jump from my friend and drove home planning to pull out my battery and go buy another.
I pulled up to a light and saw a work truck with a battery in the bed. The battery had a big "65" on the label. I thought that was weird so I tried to figure out if there was anything else going on in the scene. I looked at the license plate, which was JAK 010. I refer to my best friend as Jayko often and tried to figure out the message (if any). I called him and left a voicemail just in case.
I came home, pulled out the battery, placed it in the back of my wife's car and went to the battery shop. Once I purchased a new battery and went to collect my old one from my wife's trunk and found it had fallen on its side and spilled battery acid all over the carpet. Thankfully the removable carpet soaked it all up and it did not go through to the upholstered carpet underneath.
I would not consider this a 'bad' day, just interesting. I did have fun working on the car and it seems to be working fine now :)
